Green Book is set in the Bronx in 1962, where Tony Lip, a driver, is looking for a temporary job. Tony is invited for an interview with Dr. Don Shirley, an African American pianist. Dr. Don needs a driver for an eight-week concert tour through the Midwest and Deep South. The deep American south was still deeply steeped in racism. Needless to say, they have quite an adventurous time.
