Today’s movie of the day is “The Avengers: Endgame,” an American superhero film released in 2019. It is the direct sequel to “The Avengers: Infinity War” and is the 22nd film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). In the film, the remaining members of the Avengers attempt to fix the damage caused by Thanos in “Avengers: Infinity War.
“Avengers: Endgame” begins after the events of Infinity War, with Thanos having used the Infinity Stones to snap away half of all life in the universe. The remaining Avengers – including Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye – are left reeling from their devastating loss. However, they must regroup and find Thanos in order to take back the Infinity Stones and reverse his damage.
The film was released on April 26, 2019, and received positive reviews from critics. It grossed a record-breaking $858.37 million at the U.S. box office and more than $2.798 billion worldwide, becoming the second highest-grossing film of all time and the highest-grossing film in the U.S.
“The Avengers: Endgame” was originally called “Avengers: Infinity War Part II.” However, the Russo brothers – who directed both “Infinity War” and “Endgame” – decided to change the title to avoid spoiling the ending of “Infinity War.”
“The Avengers: Endgame” is a worthy addition to the MCU and is sure to please fans of the franchise. It is an exciting, action-packed film that will entertain audiences of all ages.
